FA Cup: Chelsea, City, Southampton and Leicester into the Semis

Southampton, Manchester City, Chelsea and Leicester City all qualified into semi finals of the FA Cup competing for the silverware.
Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers’ side eliminated Ole Gunner Solksjaer Manchester United’s out of FA CUP at the King Power Stadium.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s double fired goals and Youri Tielemans’ strike ended United’s hopes of winning a silverware.

Iheanacho’s Leicester drew the first blood by scoring the first goal of the night.
He scores at the 24th minute until United’s Mason Greenwood restore parity 1-1 at the 38th minute.
52nd minute into the game, Leicester’s Youri Tielemans’ strike gives The Foxes 2nd goal of the night after an assist from Iheanacho.
Kelechi Iheanacho was not done with United until a 2nd goal to increase the tally to 3-1 with a headed goal.

Leicester City’s manager Brendan Rodgers in his post match press conference says
“I said to the players before: ‘You are three games away from playing in history,
‘and when you have the chance to do that, you have to give everything you can to create it.’
“The club has never won the FA Cup, they have been to four finals and not won it…
“We are in the semi-final, and have a chance to get to the final and when it comes, we will fight to achieve that.”
Other FA Cup Quarter Finals Actions
Southampton defeated AFC Bournemouth at home, Vitality Stadium by 0-3 to book their place at the semis.
Goals from Moussa Djenepo and a brace credited to Nathan Redmond knocked out the championship side.

Away from Southampton win to Goodison Park, Everton were knocked out of the competition by Premier league leaders Manchester City.
Two late goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne from 84th and 90 + 1 minute put City into the semis.

Semi Final Draw
Chelsea will face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals, with Southampton facing Leicester in the other tie.
Both ties will be played at Wembley Stadium, with one on April 17 and the other on April 18.
The sides are playing for the right to take part in the 2021 final at Wembley on May 15.
