Premier League 2021-22: Man City face Spurs, Brentford host Arsenal

EPL Champions, Manchester City will face Tottenham in the opening weekend of the 2021-22 English Premier League campaign.
The first fixtures takes place on August 14 and newly promoted side, Brentford hosts Arsenal in their first top-flight game since the 1946-47 season.
Likewise Norwich and Watford, who also promoted back into the EPL will face Liverpool and Aston Villa respectively.
Manchester United set up with Leeds United at the Theater of Dreams, while Champions League winner, Chelsea hosts Crystal Palace.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are favourites to retain the EPL title but opponents in their first game – Spurs, Norwich, Arsenal, Leicester, Southampton, Chelsea and Liverpool – likely to give them tough start.
Towards the end of the 2020-21 campaign, authorities allowed Premier League clubs to bring in a small percentage of their fans when the Covid-19 restrictions were eased.
Although, it is still unclear as to how many fans will be in attendance for the opening fixtures of the new season.
Though, the Premier League says they are “committed to the ambition of full stadiums, including away supporters”.
