Iniobong: Akwa Ibom Government Vows to Bring Killers to Justice

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel condoles with family of late Miss Iniobong Ephraim Umoren who was murdered in the course of trying to get a job.

The Governor assured the family that all the perpetrators involved in the heinous crime will be brought to justice.
Governor Emmanuel’s Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Emmanuel Ekuwen represent, visit the family in Ohio Ndot, Oruk Anam local government area, prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“This is a very tragic development, the Governor is not happy with the incident of such a young girl, who went in search of work and was brutally murdered like that..
“As we know, the Governor have always advice young people against begging for a living, but to work hard to earn a living.
“Iniobong, who attempts to earn a living was faced with such tragedy. The Governor is sad, pained and says ‘complete defeat’ to what governor had said to take youths of the street and equip them with skills and employment opportunities”, the SSG said.
Ukeme Umoren, Elder brother to Iniobong, speaks on behalf of the family thank Governor Udom Emmanuel for the visit.
He appeals for an in-depth investigation that will bring her killers to book.
“We dey heartbroken, Iniobong na our last born and we know how much we struggle to send her go University.
“she dey wait to collect her call-up letter, now unfortunately we don lose a sister, a friend.
“I dey beg di Akwa Ibom State Goment say we want justice for my sister, late Miss Iniubong Umoren”.
26-year old Iniobong Umoren is a graduate of Philosophy from the University of Uyo, and a native of Nung Ita Ikot Essien, Oruk Anam Local Government Area.
