Nigeria Police Abba Kyari: What happens next to Nigerian ‘super cop’ under investigation over links with Hushpuppi?

Nigeria Police continue their investigation regarding suspended Deputy commissioner Abba Kyari alias ‘super cop’ over his links with Ramon Abbas known as Hushpuppi.
Many have asked and called for investigation on what next should Abba Kyari is found guilty or not.
Hence, BBC contacted retired police commissioner Muhammad Wakil to give insights on what is expected as the next line of action as far as police service rules is concerned.
Wakil retired last year after he served as commissioner in police for Kano state says that the concluded information will determine what happens to Abba Kyari.
“If investigation doesn’t find him wanting, he will continue his job but if found guilty, punishment will also be depend on the scale.
“For example, there are offences that are outright sack, some are forced retirement, others are demotion. There are also some that promotion will be deprived off, as at when due as punishment. So all of the above are possibilities,” Wakil explained.
Professor Usman Zannuraini, a professor of law at Bayero University tells BBC that even if extradition treaty exist between Nigeria and United States of America, the process before FBI can extradite Abba Kyari to follow them to US is a long one.
“To get extradition isn’t easy something because courts are involved and they will finally determine if it will happen or not based on what actually took place,” he said.
How it started
Nigeria Instagram celebrity Ramon Abass aka ‘Hushpuppi’ plead guilty to Two Counts of the charges against him in a US court which are Conspiracy to Engage in Money Laundering.
The case where United States v. Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, Case No. 2:20-CR-00322-ODW, charge Hushpuppi with Conspiracy to Engage in Money Laundering, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1956(h).
Also, part of what the court document says is that Abbas also gave bribe to a Nigeria police Officers. 51435115667
This is the part in which DSP Abba Kyari was alleged to have received bribe from Hushpuppi.
As it is, Hushpuppi is likely to face up 20 years in prison during sentencing according to the reports in court document.
Abba Kyari Biograpghy

Abba Alhaji Kyari is a Nigerian police officer who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police until he was suspended.
He is a member of International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
Prior to his appointment as IGP-IRT, he has served at Lagos State Police Command as a unit Commander in one of the PMF base located in Lagos before he was promoted and transferred to serve as the Officer-In-Charge of the dis-banded (SARS).
Abba was admitted into Police Academy Wudil, Kano State in 2000, and graduated as cadet Assistance Superintendent of Police (ASP).
He was posted to Adamawa State Police Command for his one-year mandatory attachment in Song Police Division.
Abba Kyari was later deployed as Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) in Numan, Adamawa State. Kyari also served as Unit Commander 14 PMF Yola.
He moved to Lagos State Police Command as 2 IC and later Officer-In-Charge of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Abba Kyari is currently the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team in the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.
