Nigerian artists who have won the BET Awards

The BET Awards was founded in 2001 as an American show by the giant Television network Black Entertainment Television. This award celebrates African Americans in music, acting, sports, and other entertainment over the past year.
In this article, we shall list the Nigerian artists who have won the BET Awards. The category was first The BET Award for Best International Act (Africa) and later combined with other BET Award international acts.

1. 2Face and D’banj
The BET awards established the BET Award for Best International Act (Africa) in 2011, formed to accommodate two winners celebrated together.
2Face and D’banj were winners in this first edition. They were the hottest and best musicians in Africa at that time.
The two artists are some of the greatest in the Nigerian music industry. 2Face and D’banj have contributed to the progress and success of music in Nigeria and Africa.

2. Wizkid
Wizkid won the BET Awards for the First time along with the Ghanaian sensational artist Sarkodie in 2012. He is the most awarded in this category; BET Award for Best International Act (Africa).
He is a recipient of many national and international awards. Wizkid has won the Grammy Award, Billboard Awards, MOBO Awards, and the Soul Train Awards.


3. Ice Prince
Panshak Henry Zamani popularly known as (Ice Prince) is a Nigerian hip-hop recording artist, rapper, and actor. He rose to stardom in 2009 after the release of his hit song Oleku.
Ice Prince was the first African artist to win the BET Awards as a solo act. He won the BET Award in 2013. Ice Prince has won the Headies award, Nigeria Entertainment Awards, MOBO Awards, and the City People Entertainment Awards.
4. Davido
Davido won the BET Awards on two occasions. He won the Best International Act (Africa) in 2014 and BET Award for Best International Act in 2018.
He rose to fame after the release of his hit song Dami Duro in 2012. Davido is one of the most decorated artists in Africa.
He has won the Headies award, MTV Africa Music Awards, Nigeria Entertainment Awards, and the Channel O Music Video Awards.

5. Burna Boy
Burna Boy is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper, and dancer. He is one of the most decorated artists in Africa.
He has won the BET Awards three consecutive times for BET Award for Best International Act in 2019, 2020, and 2021 editions.
Burna Boy won the Best World Music Album on his Twice as Tall album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021.
