Omawumi is a familiar name in the Nigerian music industry since 2007. She is a songwriter, singer, and actress. Omawumi music has drawn acceptance beyond Nigeria’s borders. She is celebrated across Africa for her unique voice, creativity, talent, stage performances, and sense of dressing. Today she is celebrating her 39th birthday, and her fans across the globe have been sending their warm greetings to her on her social media handles. . Her real name is Omawumi Magbele.

. SHE is a songwriter, singer, and actress of the Itsekiri tribe in Delta State, Nigeria.

. She was born on 13th April 1982 to Dr. Frank and Mrs. Aya Magbele.

. Her father is a lawyer, and owns a law firm called “O.S Magbele”.

. Omawumi started her elementary education at Nana Primary school, and later College of Education Demonstration Secondary School. She studied Law at the Ambrose Alli University and graduated in 2005.

. Omawumi took part in the Idols West Africa TV reality show competition in 2007, and she was voted as first runners-up.
