President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari takes a trip to London for medical check up on Tuesday.
This is the 12th time the President will be traveling to the United Kingdom since he became president of the federation in 2015.
The Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina announced President Buhari latest travel in a statement that the treatment will last for about two weeks.

Mr. Adesina added that the 78 year old leader will meet with the service chiefs before he leaves Abuja for UK.
The last time the Nigerian president departed Abuja for UK was last year, 2020.
He went to participate for the 1st UK-Africa Investment Summit that happened on 20th January, 2020.
However, the last London medical trip of the president happened on April 25, 2019 when the Presidency says the private trip to London, will last for 10 days.
Although, the President regularly visits UK for one medical reason while hospitals inside the country goes on strike.
This is due to lack of equipment and latest technology for treatment of various sickness and diseases.
Times the President had gone to UK includes three times in 2016, twice in 2017.
Four times in 2018, twice in 2019, once in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
However, the exact health challenges faced by His Excellency which makes him travel to UK for medications, is still yet unknown to the public.
The Presidency and the President’s family are keeping it as private as possible.
