Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Another great name in classical and classical music is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, born in Austria in 1756.

Like Beethoven, Mozart began to devote himself to music very early. Around the age of four, he started taking lessons in the harpsichord together with his sister. At five, he wrote his first concerto for harpsichord.

Due to his great ease in learning keyboard instruments, he started to make tours in several cities in Europe to perform in concerts even before he turned ten years old.

Frederic Chopin

Another prodigy in the world of classical music is the Polish pianist and composer Chopin. At the age of 7, Frederic Chopin had already composed two songs for Polish folk dances.

The musician devoted himself mainly to the composition of works for the piano, gaining prominence in performances in Vienna, Austria, and Paris, France — where he lived most of his life.

Chopin’s career was prematurely cut short with his death at age 39, but he left behind extensive work and established his name as one of the best pianists in the world.

Maurice Ravel

Maurice Ravel is an extremely important name in the history of French music. He is considered the most classic of modern composers in the country.

Like his colleagues, he showed musical talent at an early age. He was already playing the piano at 7 years old. And at 14, he attended the Paris Conservatoire, where he was a student of Charles de Bériot.

Despite receiving negative reviews in his first performances, Ravel brought remarkable innovations in the art of orchestration. His ballet Bolero, composed in 1928, is to this day one of the most played French musical works in the world.

Franz Liszt

Franz Liszt was a composer, pianist, and teacher. He was famous in the nineteenth century in Europe and named by his contemporaries as the most advanced pianist of his generation.

Furthermore, in the mid-1840s, he was considered by some famous names to be the greatest pianist of all time.

He was also an outstanding composer, representing the New German School. Among his works, he left contributions with the invention of the symphonic poem and the concept of thematic transformation.
